COVID-19 Latest Update - Information for Parents / Carers
Please find below, key points for parents / carers to consider following the government's announcement of school closures from Friday 20 March:
- Financial Support and Free School Meals - further information regarding free school meals will be announced by John Swinney, Education Minister today. However, 'Broke Not Broken', our local food bank have indicated that they are planning to be making weekly deliveries to families who are in receipt of free school meals. We plan to pass on details for these families as part of our duty of care, but staff will contact those affected directly. Anyone else who, in these unprecedented times, would require a referral to Broke not Broken, should contact Mrs Smith, Head Teacher on KinrossPrimary@pkc.gov.uk. We are keen to support our families at this time.
- Medication - All medication held in school will be sent home on Friday 20 March. If your child has been absent from school and will not return before Friday, we ask that, if possible, medication is collected from the school office by 3pm on Friday
- Home Learning - All 4-7 pupils have been given their Glow username and passwords. P2-3 details can be provided upon request from JulieHynd@pkc.gov.uk. IDL (a resource support Literacy and Numeracy) have also been given to identified learners who have already been accessing this in school. Our website has been populated with a number of links and suggestions for home learning activities P1-7. These will be updated and refreshed on an ongoing basis. Please note, we are not in a position to provide physical resources to individual children / families.
