COVID-19 Recovery Update
This week, Mrs Smith and staff in the upstairs classrooms have been able to return to our building in small groups on a rotational basis. This is following rigorous planning and risk assessments due to the Kinross Children’s Activity Centre operating from our school. The upstairs classrooms have been virtually untouched since staff left the building on Friday 20 March. They report it has been nice to be back. Classes in the downstairs corridor and Nursery will be available for access from next week. Due to the limited time they have in the building before the summer break, staff will be preparing classrooms for the return of pupils. Classroom spaces will remain familiar for pupils returning in their smaller cohorts.
To reassure you, detailed information will be shared with parents / carers regarding attendance pattern and arrangements for the school day before the summer break. As you can appreciate, Scottish Government guidance is responding to an ever-changing stream of information. We are working closely with the Local Authority to ensure that our recovery planning is robust before communicating it with you. We acknowledge that this is a very anxious time for you and your children and appreciate your patience and understanding at this time. Our school, although physically adapted to meet guidelines, will have the same nurturing ethos as before and staff are looking forward to building positive relationships with the children on their return.
