P7 - S1 Transition

Dear Parent/Carer,

As we all know circumstances this year are unusual. However, we want our new students to enjoy a helpful and supportive transition. We have been developing a transition programme to support your children as they progress from their primary school to Kinross High School. When they join us after the summer break House Teams, staff and other students will help our new intake to find their way in our school community.

In June we have an online transition programme to help students familiarise themselves with their new campus, the layout and the navigation of subject areas. Also, when we normally have an information evening for parents we will host an online Parents’ Information session.

These events, which are intended to address questions and concerns, will be hosted on our school website with exact times to be published on the site.

• P7 Parents’ Information Session – Wednesday 10th June • P7 Online Transition Programme – Thursday/Friday 11/12th June

Both events will take place in the week commencing Monday 8th June:
• Afternoon of Wednesday 10th - Online Parents’ Information Session opened. This will include pre-recorded messages from Head Teacher and members of the SLT, a tour of the campus and FAQ. There will also be a facility for parents to post their own questions.
• Thursday 11th to Friday 12th am - Online P7 Transition Session available to students.

During the programme students will be invited to “visit” subjects, try activities and ask questions. Following the event House Teams will collate and respond to student enquiries. Please visit the site to keep up to date.
